Lavender Pond Farm

Just the other day a friend and I decided it was about time we visited Lavender Pond Farm in Killingworth, Connecticut. We had heard about it in the news, local papers, and a few of my friends had already been there. It is in it's second year of operation and is turning out to be a very popular local hangout and tourist site. As we arrived at opening time at 12:00, the cars were just beginning to pour in.

I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures here to give people an idea of what Lavender Pond Farm is all about. People are welcome to stroll through the fields of lavender, enjoy the gazebo, check out the bee hives from a little distance, bring a picnic, browse through the store which is full of lavender products, and it looks like you can even play life size chess out in the field. I'll include a photo below. It was a fun and interesting place to visit. The owner loved answering any questions and even took time to show us how their still works which distills the lavender essential oil.
